Abstract
-
(11 Jul 2016) LEAD IN:
The International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC) has started taking samples from relatives of those who went missing during Lebanon's civil war.
They will be used to provide a DNA match if any remains are discovered.
STORY-LINE:
The Wehbe family hopes these visitors will bring them one step closer to discovering the fate of their brother.
Habib Ali Wehbe disappeared in 1976 during Lebanon's civil war.
The 25-year-old secondary school teacher was politically active and a contributing writer to the Lebanese Communist Party's flagship newspaper, al-Nadaa.
He's one of thousands of people who went missing during the 1975-1990 conflict.
